Cask Ales
For the Real Ale connoisseur, we offer the following cask ales:
Courage Best
ABV 4%
A very popular cask ale, this is an historic Courage brand with over 200 years of brewing pedigree. It has a rich reddish-brown colour, is fully balanced with a malty flavour and a distinctive dry hop character and is renowned for its consistency and quality.
Hobgoblin
ABV 4.5%
Traditionally brewed to produce a wonderfully well balanced blend of smooth, rich and satisfying flavours from chocolate and crystal malts combined with a crisp, refreshing bitterness from Styrian, Goldings and Fuggles hops.
Sambrooks Wandle Ale
ABV 3.8%
Brewed using traditional methods and materials sourced locally from English producers. We are proud to use Maris Otter malt from Warminster Maltings, one of the few remaining floor maltings in the country. We use a combination of traditional Fuggles and Goldings hops varieties, together with the more modern Boadicea hedgerow variety to flavour our beers. All of the hops used in the brewing process are whole leaf which give Wandle its distinctive hoppy taste and aroma. At 3.8% abv Wandle Ale is a well balanced thirst quenching session ale.
Spitfire
ABV 4.5%
Spitfire Premium Kentish Ale is the biggest ale success story of the last decade. Originally brewed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, its characteristically Kentish, hoppy flavor and risque advertising campaign has made it a firm favourite with beer lovers.
John Smiths
ABV 3.8%
John Smith's bitter, which is still going strong, is a malty, bitter sweet ale with a slight fruitiness and a bitter aftertaste.
